Facelift

Blepharoplasty - Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery
During cosmetic eyelid surgery, which is also called blepharoplasty, the excess skin, muscle, and fat that cause bags and puffiness are removed through hidden incisions along the natural lines of the skin. Chin Augmentation

During the procedure, an appropriately sized chin implant is inserted through an incision in the mouth or through a small incision under the chin to increase the size and/or projection of the chin. Chin augmentation is often performed in conjunction with rhinoplasty to achieve optimal proportion between the chin, nose, and other facial features.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty is a procedure in which the ears are reshaped or repositioned to improve their appearance. In most cases, otoplasty is performed to correct prominent ears so that they lay more flatly against the head. Dr Lamblet can also improve the appearance of disproportionately shaped ears by sculpting the soft tissue and cartilage. While many adults undergo the procedure with excellent results, otoplasty is usually performed on children, as the ears are more flexible and easier to correct at an early age.
Injectable Cosmetic Treatments

Restylane®
Restylane® is perhaps not as well known as BOTOX® Cosmetic, but its results can be equally as dramatic. Dr. Hebert Lamblet performs Restylane® treatment at his Rio de Janeiro, Brazil practice for patients who desire beautiful, smooth, youthful-looking skin but are not ready for facelift surgery.
Restylane® is used primarily to fill facial wrinkles and deep creases, especially the nasolabial folds that begin at the base of the nose and continue outward to the corners of the lips. To diminish the appearance of wrinkles or enhance the lips, Restylane® gel is injected beneath the targeted area, increasing fullness and creating a smoother appearance. The gel is composed of a substance called hyaluronic acid that is found naturally inside the body and attracts water molecules. The water molecules are drawn to the targeted treatment areas, where they provide extra hydration and increase facial volume. As a result, wrinkles and creases are smoothed away and a youthful, radiant glow is restored.
In most cases, Dr Lamblet applies a numbing cream to the area being treated before injection. Pain is minimal and anesthesia is usually not necessary. The duration of treatment depends on the amount of Restylane® gel that is injected but usually lasts less than an hour. The results achieved with Restylane® injections last approximately six months before a repeat treatment is needed. Perlane®
In addition to Restylane®, we also offer Perlane® injectable fillers at our Rio de Janeiro, Brazil practice. Perlane® is a non-animal-based hyaluronic acid gel used to fill wrinkles and augment the lips. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that creates healthy, youthful facial volume. When Perlane® is injected under the skin, it binds with water to plump the skin and provide new fullness. The effects of Perlane® are extremely durable compared to other available volume and wrinkle treatments, lasting between 12 and 15 months until the gel is safely absorbed by the body. Perlane® is very similar to Restylane®; the only difference between the products is in the amount of hyaluronic acid that each one contains. Because Perlane® has a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, it is more appropriate for larger folds of skin and Restylane® is better suited for smaller wrinkles.

Artecoll®
Artecoll® is a long-lasting injectable "implant" material composed of collagen and micro-spheres which is used to fill facial lines, creases, and indentations, as well as to enlarge lips. There is no local anesthetic required for treatment with Artecoll®, and patients are able to resume normal activities immediately after treatment. When Artecoll® is injected beneath the skin, the body evenly wraps each micro-sphere with fibrous proteins, which plumps and anchors the product beneath the skin. The complete effect of Artecoll® is apparent approximately three months after injection.
Volumetric Facial Reshaping with Autologous Fat Grafting with ADCs
Dr. Lamblet believes that reversal of the facial aging process can be effectively achieved through three-dimensional volumetric restoration of the face. Volume can be restored to the face using a number of methods, which include injection of soft tissue fillers, placement of facial implants, and autologous fat grafting. Of these methods, Dr Lamblet prefers to utilize autologous fat grafting with adipose-derived cells (ADCs) to achieve youthful facial volume and shape.
ADCs are collected using liposuction techniques, so fat grafting patients receive the added benefit of body contouring. The fat transfer procedure can be performed under local anesthesia to rejuvenate the entire face, or in isolated areas such as the nose, cheeks, chin, and mandible. Glycolic Chemical Peel
A glycolic chemical peel reduces uneven pigmentation, fine wrinkling, and general sun damage by removing the superficial layers of affected skin. The 70 percent glycolic acid formula is applied for the appropriate length of time and is then neutralized. Over the next few weeks, the skin sheds its outer layers to reveal fresh, smooth, evenly toned skin. Many areas of the face, neck, and chest can be successfully treated with a glycolic peel, including the lines and wrinkling around the mouth.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion can reduce a variety of skin imperfections with quick results and no downtime. Ideal for use on all skin types and tones, microdermabrasion is an effective and virtually painless method of exfoliation that clears and refines pores as it strips away a dulling superficial layer of dead skin cells. Skin Care Products
We offer an effective skin care regimen that has been developed through careful study of many physician-quality skin care products on the market. This anti-aging, therapeutic system is composed of four products: a broad-spectrum sunscreen, a 20 percent glycolic acid cleanser, a daytime glycolic acid moisturizer, and a nighttime retinoic acid moisturizer. Significant improvement in the texture and tone of the skin can be observed after using these products for only a short period of time. A dramatic reduction in visible signs of aging and sun damage will be apparent.
